KING

King is an apple that earns its name the moment you see it. Big, broad, and full of presence, it hangs heavy on the tree with deep red striping over a warm yellow base. It is the kind of fruit that feels generous in the hand, the sort you pick up and immediately start thinking about what you are going to make with it. There is nothing delicate about King. It is built for purpose, and it does that job well.

Cut into it and you get a juicy, coarse flesh with a gentle sweetness and just enough acidity to keep things lively. The flavour is not flashy, but it is steady and satisfying, the kind that works in just about any kitchen. Where King really shines is in cooking. Its size makes prep easy, and the flesh softens beautifully into pies and sauces without losing its character. It fills the kitchen with a warm, familiar apple aroma that feels like autumn in a bowl. This is an apple that delivers comfort and reliability, and sometimes that is exactly what you want.
